FAQS

What does a ski tech day with Freeskiguide.com look like?

We meet at an agreed location and check the equipment again. Then we take the cable car and go to quiet slopes, which can maximize the learning progress. In our lessons we also use various tools from video analysis and you get exercises along the way, so you can also work on your progress alone.

How do I learn to ski off-piste?

In order to learn off-piste skiing, you must first be able to ski down red slopes safely. After that, it is advisable to swap your piste skis for slightly wider skis and make your first attempts on flat terrain not far from the pistes. The linchpin of off-piste skiing is always a balanced, stable center position on your skis and a slow approach, otherwise you run the risk of losing your desire and mood.

Are there differences in the teaching techniques of different countries?

Yes, they exist. However, these are no longer as great as they were in the 1970s. In the meantime, the (ski) world has converged considerably, which means that the differences in teaching techniques have become marginal.
